Sydney Sakharia

Program Manager

Sydney Sakharia is the Program Manager responsible for supporting Impact for Equity’s programs and initiatives. Sydney holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and is pursuing a MA in Community Psychology from National Louis University. Previously, she worked for a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) aimed at helping nonprofits and other service providers to create safe, inspiring spaces that enable them to achieve their missions and support their communities. She has developed a strong sense of devotion to the nonprofit sector, showing how nonprofits can be agents of change within their communities.

Sydney is passionate about how communities play a role in supporting individuals by exploring systematic inequities. Professionally and personally, Sydney is committed to advocating for policy changes that empower communities historically disinvested in.
