Tamara Reed Tran

Managing Director of Development and External Relations

Tamara (Tammy) is the Managing Director of Development External Relations at Impact for Equity. In this role, she provides overall leadership and strategic oversight for all aspects of Impact for Equity’s fundraising, communications, and external relations efforts.

She has more than 20 years of fundraising and marketing experience in the nonprofit arena helping organizations grow revenue and increase brand recognition. During that time, Tammy served in a fundraising capacity for UCAN, The Family Institute at Northwestern University, Dystonia Medical Foundation, Rush University Medical Center, and Volunteers of America of Illinois.

Tammy currently serves as Board Chair for Wisdom Knot and as the Fundraising & Marketing Chair for Just Roots. She has also served as the Chair for the Executive Women’s Committee of the Metropolitan Club, and while in that role, Tammy hosted a series of talks, American Women Galvanizing, designed to address the needs of women in the Chicagoland area.

Tammy received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a double major in African American Studies and Communications.
